Do I really need to write that down?
Documentation is critical when working on or with a race team. Any changes that you make to the car need to be documented. Track Conditions, Weather, Type of Fuel (where bought), How old are the tires? These questions and more should be the first things you ask yourself when you are at the track. You should also documet the response in a notebook. After you practice, qualify, or run a heat race; you need to document how the car felt, how you were driving, everything. Then if you make changes document those and after the race ask yourself the same questions. You never know when you will have the same weather conditions or track conditions again and its better to have a reference to go to then asking your buddy, "Hey, what did we do three months ago." Be prepared, document, and think ahead.

Here you will find a SET UP Chart to use to help document, how your car is set up and also document any changes you make at the track. Its not who has the most horsepower that always wins, its the guy/gal who documents and sets his/her car up accordingly to the conditions. Keep records and finish ahead of the pack.
